Hum Saath Saath Hain (English: We are together) is a 1999 Indian drama film written and directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya.[3] The film was produced and distributed by the home production of Sooraj Barjatya, Rajshri Productions. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Mohnish Behl, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Karisma Kapoor, while Alok Nath, Reema Lagoo, Neelam Kothari, and Mahesh Thakur play pivotal supporting roles.
The story centers on a family headed by Ramkishan, and containing his wife Mamta as well as three sons, played by the leading actors. The film was shot in Mumbai's Film City and in the villages of Rajasthan state.
Bookworm Adventures teeters on that fine edge between 'Cute' and 'Cloying.' I made it to the final boss of the third chapter of the first world with a full shelf of health potions and having not died once during the prior game. Playing beyond the initial demo, I finally died in a boss battle in the second 'World.' More serious, at least to me, is that the game is not very challenging--or, to be fair, the first hour of gameplay isn't.
Earning over ₹280 million (US$4.1 million), the film went on to become the highest-grossing film of the year. The film was declared a blockbuster by Box Office India.[3] It received overwhelming response from the audiences and predominantly positive reviews from critics. It was also the first Bollywood film to be played in Canadian theatres, with six screenings in Toronto.
Salman Khan's performance earned him Best Actor nomination at Zee Cine Awards held in 2000. Meanwhile, Mohnish Behl received a Best Supporting Actor nomination at 45th Filmfare Awards for his performance. The film was also dubbed into the Telugu and released with the title Premaanuraagam.[4]

Plot[edit]
The plot revolves around the Chaturvedi Family, the father,Ramkishan Chaturvedi (Alok Nath), a rich businessman, and his second wife Mamta Chaturvedi (Reema Lagoo). Ramkishan has 4 children: Vivek(Mohnish Behl), Prem(Salman Khan), Vinod(Saif Ali Khan) and Sangeeta(Neelam Kothari). The first half explores the love lives of each of the three sons : Vivek with Sadhna(Tabu), the daughter of his father's business associate, Prem with Preeti (Sonali Bendre), the daughter of a family friend and Vinod with Sapna(Karisma Kapoor). The story takes a bitter turn when Sangita's brother-in-law cheats her husband, Anand(Mahesh Thakur) from the inheritance and his share in the family business.
This triggers Mamta into thinking that Vivek, her step son and the heir to the business would do the same.So she demands Vivek to leave the business and move back to their village home. The story continues as the family is conflicted over Mamta's demands. The movie explores how the family reacts to Vivek's decision about listening to his mother. At the end of the movie, Mamta realises her mistake and reunites with Vivek.
